Labs

"Give the students something to do, not something to learn; and the doing is of such a nature as to demand thinking; learning naturally results."
John Dewey

The Labs are our interactive learning spaces at Law Matters Online Academy. They are designed for exploration, experimentation, and discovery. Each Lab is a self-contained, browser-based tool where you can test ideas, simulate scenarios, and see theories come alive, whether it’s modeling markets in EconLabs, exploring feedback loops in Complexity Economics Labs, or running thought experiments in law and policy.

The Labs are free for everyone. You don’t need to sign up or install anything. Just pick a Lab, open it in your browser (on desktop or mobile), and start experimenting. Use them to deepen your understanding, prepare for class discussions, or simply satisfy your curiosity about how law, economics, and complex systems work in practice.

These are not graded exercises. They are spaces to play with ideas, make mistakes, tweak assumptions, and watch how outcomes change. The more you explore, the more connections you’ll find between abstract theory and real-world systems.
